We’re Hiring: 1 x Employment Adviser
We’re looking for a Employment and Volunteering Advisor to join our established and highly respected Step Up project at Volunteer Centre Hackney to help people with mental health issues and other high support needs into volunteering, training and paid employment.
We are seeking a candidate who has a real understanding of the barriers faced by people who have extensive mental health support needs, and who may have never worked in a paid role, to progress towards life goals.
Through workshops, training and individual support, you will support people to gain confidence, vocational skills and resilience with a reduction in social isolation.
You must be very well practiced in delivering support to people in writing CVs’, job applications, cover letters, job searching, and interview practice and also be able to deliver group workshops.
We offer flexible working, a generous annual leave allowance, monthly group therapeutic supervision and the opportunity to receive ongoing mentoring and training as you need. You will receive ongoing support and be given flexibility and creativity to develop your own working style, with the support of your manager and colleagues.
