Programme Manager (Part-time – £32k – 34k pro rata);
Volunteer Coordinator(s) (Full-time or part-time – £26k-28k pro rata)
We are recruiting for both full-time and part-time Volunteer Coordinators for a new and exciting project – to recruit and support local patients and residents to volunteer and share their skills at their local GP practice. We are also recruiting for a part-time Programme Manager to oversee the delivery of the programme.
The programme is the first of its kind in the area, and has the potential to be rolled out across the borough over time.
Volunteer Coordinators will recruit and support patients to fulfil vital roles needed by the local practice such as calling patients to remind them to attend appointments, or accompanying isolated patients to clinics; or to create and deliver their own activities for the benefit of other patients. These could be a peer support group, a children’s play group for the waiting area, or a local walking group.
As the Volunteer Coordinator, you will be experienced at motivating and enabling people to volunteer, to design and deliver their own activities, helping them to overcome fears and barriers. You will be mainly based in the community, and so you will need to be self-motivating and confident to manage your own time and work-load to deliver a thriving and engaging project
As the Programme Manager, you will have responsibility for the delivery and development of the programme – for building successful relationships with practice staff, for meeting all outcomes and targets, and for managing the delivery of the Volunteer Coordinators.
