Reading Coaches needed for new project for Hackney

Did you know that 7% of adults in the UK struggle to read? Read Easy UK, a nationwide charity that helps adults learn to read, is trying to change that.

Read Easy UK, a national organisation that helps adults to learn to read, is seeking volunteer reading coaches for its new Hackney group. Coaches meet 1:1 with their readers twice a week for 30 minutes in approved venues.  This is a great opportunity to make a life-changing difference to individuals in your community. Anyone who can read fluently and has the time to spare can apply to become a Read Easy reading coach. You do not need special qualifications as the reading scheme is designed for anyone to use, and full training and support is provided.

Come along to find out more about this one-to-one volunteer scheme. All welcome. For more information or to confirm your attendance, please contact Serena on 07763 158099 or serena@readeasy.org.uk

When: Wednesday 22 November, 5.45 to 7.30pm
Where: Pembury Community Centre, 1 Atkins Square, Dalston Lane, Hackney E8 1FA
