Our projects enable everyone – people with disabilities or mental health needs, local employees and lone parents – to make a difference and meet life goals. We offer bespoke volunteering opportunities and tailored support to ensure all volunteers have a valuable experience and benefit from positive outcomes like improved wellbeing and steps towards employment.

Health and Wellbeing

We deliver specialised projects supporting people with multiple health needs to meet life goals. Step Up matches people with mental health needs to volunteer mentors, to help them move forward. We provide direct volunteering opportunities and support group placements and activities such as gardening, art and exercise, helping to improve wellbeing. Community Supporters volunteers reduce social isolation, by visiting people in their own homes, to enable them to partake in daily activities and rebuild their independence.

Employee Volunteering

Employers build motivation and commitment amongst their staff and have a huge impact on local communities, by working with us to develop bespoke volunteer projects. We have worked with companies such as Vice and Barclays Bank to create group projects and individual volunteering roles. We can match skilled employees to local charities who need skills in business development, fundraising and communications. Email us to find out our latest opportunities.

Community-led Activities

Residents and local communities are supported to devise their own solutions to local causes. We deliver projects on local estates to help people to co-produce activities to make their areas better places to live. Our Place brings residents together on the New Kingshold estate to create activities such as gardening, writing, and an arts and crafts group. We enable people to share their skills through group volunteering and tackling causes together, helping to bridge divides and strengthen local communities.

Steps to Employment

Volunteering is a key step on the route towards paid employment. It provides essential skills and experience to go on CVs’ and application forms. We provide specialist Employment Advisors for people with mental health issues through Step Up and for people who are long term unemployed, Aim Higher.
