October Role Round Up
Autumn! As the seasons change, we promise to keep sharing fun and meaningful volunteering opportunities in the local area.
Relocation Relocation Relocation! Hackney Foodbank is moving storage site from E9 to N15, and needs a Volunteer Driver who can drive a Luton van to help them.
A rare opportunity has come up to help shape the future of music in our community. The committee of Sutton House Music Society feel it is time to pass on the responsibilities of running the Society to a younger generation.
Connect with nature and your neighbours! Edible Landscapes London are looking for Forest Garden Volunteers to join them in Finsbury Park on Tuesdays 10am-4pm and/or Sundays 10am-2pm.
Tools With a Mission send tools to Africa which are then given to people so they can become plumbers, carpenters, electricians, builders etc. It’s really an amazing project, but they need people here in Hackney to collect unwanted tools from around the borough. Why not sign up as a Volunteer Tool Collector?
Aveea, the science education charity, is looking for people to help them run fun experiments in primary schools in East London. As an Aveea Ambassador Volunteer, you will play a part in inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers, and medics. You may change the direction of someone’s life.
CommUNITY Barnet are looking for Community Engagement Volunteers to raise awareness and promote the importance of blood donation within communities in Hackney. It is a NHS priority to increase the number of blood donors who are black, to improve the lives of sick cell patients and reduce the overall demand on blood stocks – a really important role.
Clothes swap party! Trowbridge Gardens are organising a children’s clothes swap this Saturday 25 September. For every item you bring, you can take another home. They need volunteers to help greet people, set up, and tidy up the party.
