After a short hiatus, Volunteer Centre Hackney will be launching our next Volunteer Managers’ Forum online, with the first session of 2020 taking place online via Zoom on Tuesday 28 July, 10.30am – 12noon.

Join people supporting residents to volunteer and get involved in social action, and share your experiences of the Covid-19 pandemic response. VCH will be sharing what we’ve learnt from our work around social action and volunteering, and discussing how we might harness and sustain the huge interest in volunteering and supporting our neighbours.

We’re really keen to explore all your questions around what the future might look like for Hackney organisations including:

  • What support do we need now?
  • How to bring volunteers back – and when
  • Balancing online and offline activity
  • Who’s not volunteering, and how do we engage them?

This is a peer-to-peer sharing and learning session, and is suitable for anyone supporting volunteers and residents to give their time in the community. To attend, just drop an email to [email protected] and we’ll send you the Zoom joining information.

Our next session will be focused on inclusivity and diversity in volunteering teams, and will be taking place in late August.
