If you’re a people person, you could be a facilitator, if you’ve got fundraising experience you could help out as a fundraiser, if you know how to hashtag you could help with marketing and social media, or if you’re good on the phone you could work as an impact volunteer, collecting feedback from people in the community.

National Food Service London have also got a host of roles for those looking to help lend a hand and provide nutritious meals for those in need across their community through winter and spring.

If you’ve got experience in a kitchen, why not sign up as a Chef and help prepare food for delivery?

More interested in the community side of their work? As a Hotline volunteer, you’ll be the first point of contact for the community, connecting with and empowering National Food Service London’s service users.

If you’re looking for some fresh air, their Community Deliveries role might be just up your street. Suited to walking or cycling, you can stick to your local community, and with flexible volunteering, simply work the hours that suit you.

Got access to a reasonably large vehicle or trained to drive Hackney council’s community van? Their Volunteer Driver role may be perfect for you.

If admin is more your thing, National Food Service Hackney are also in need of Coordinators to help keep their vital work running. Join as either a Volunteer Coordinator, screening and organising volunteers, or Operations Coordinator, setting up daily operations and keeping track of orders and deliveries. Perfect for organised individuals looking to help out.

Help in the response to coronavirus by signing up as a City and Hackney Public Health Community Champion and reduce the deadly impact of the disease by communicating vital public health messages in your local community.

We’re also looking for Community Supporters. If you have just 1 or 2 hours to spare, why not spend the time having a chat over the phone with Hackney resident who is isolated and in need of some company? We’re particularly interested in hearing from people who speak community languages such as Polish, Urdu, Bengali, Punjabi, Turkish, or Portuguese.
