Volunteer Centre Hackney is running a new programme of projects in GP Surgeries in Hackney. We are now looking for more volunteers to get involved and start their own projects.

Would you like to be more involved in your GP Surgery? Would you like to connect to your community? Do you want to make a difference in your local area? Do you have skills you want to share or a project idea you have in mind? Working with patients at Spring Hill Practice, Somerford Grove Practice and Elsdale Street Surgery, we are providing free resources, peer support, training, networking, and venue hire to get your projects off the ground.

From running classes to starting projects, our focus has been on creating opportunities for residents to connect, be active, keep learning, give back and take notice in their local communities. Previous ventures have included gardening projects, a South Asian women’s history project – Akka – and even curating musician performances in residential and care homes amongst many others. Feel free to be as innovative and creative as you like, we’d love to hear from you to discuss your ideas!

If you are interested in getting involved, please get in touch with Belle Benham at [email protected] or call Belle and the team on 07838 211 357.
