Wick Award and The Loss Project have teamed up to offer free training around end of life awareness for volunteers currently working with vulnerable people, including volunteers who may be delivering meals & medicines, supporting neighbours, telephone befriending or coordinating mutual aid groups in E9.

FREE End of Life Awareness Training for Volunteers / Online via Zoom on Thursday 14 May 6 – 8pm
This 2 hour session will help volunteers to be prepared to understand issues facing the vulnerable people they are helping, for example, self-isolating, elderly people who may be fearful of the impact of Covid 19 or who may have recently received a call from their GP to discuss end of life planning.

The training aims to:
– Support participants to explore own feelings about end of life
explore end of life issues that may be arising for people
prepare volunteers so that they can look after their own wellbeing and respond sensitively to the people they are helping
