CarersCollectiveLDN is an arts and crafts focused programme to provide carers with much needed respite, and the opportunity for them to try an array of arts-based activities. Courses include; painting, dancing, drawing, working with textiles, stitching, all led by a professional artist.
As a Creative Collaborator you will be playing a vital role in a project that is giving carers the chance to restore and recuperate and to focus on their own wellbeing with creativity.
As a volunteer, you will need to create a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment while assisting the artist with workshops; help and motivate the carer with the art/craft work during the session and provide ongoing encouragement.
Free training will be provided after which you are expected to attend the weekly course, for 2 hours every week for 6 weeks. The next session is creative dance course planned on 6th Nov, 13th Nov, 20th Nov from 1.30-3.30pm. We are also looking for volunteers to attend our Christmas workshops: 27th Nov (DIY gift-wrap and cards), 4th Dec (festive wreath), 11th Dec (festive jumpers / Xmas party).
