THRIFTY XMAS – DECORATION MAKERS

Short of time? Join VCH for this one-off volunteering session. Meet your neighbours and learn how to create decorations from recycled materials to help spread the festive spirit to some of Hackney’s most vulnerable residents. No experience needed, all welcome!

FRIENDLY CENTRE VOLUNTEERS 

Are you interested in cooking, art, socialising and much more? Would you like to find out more about brain injury or disability? Headway is searching for friendly people to help one day a week at their day centre in Hackney, especially volunteers who speak community languages.

SHOREDITCH TRUST
BUMP BUDDY MENTORS

Support new mums in Hackney. Bump Buddy volunteers are locally recruited and trained mothers who help empower women in Hackney to engage with maternity services and address some of the wider issues which might impact on their wellbeing.  Full training provided.

  • If you’re feeling isolated or out on a limb..volunteering is the best way to plug yourself in and recharge. It helped me learn new skills, and sharpen existing ones. I’d highly recommend it
