Volunteer Fair a success

Over 70 people attended the VCH ‘Be the Difference’ volunteer fair on Tuesday 23rd January at the Hackney Museum. They got to meet Hackney organisations including Rainbow Grow, Abney Park, Alzheimer’s UK, Beecholme Community Garden, ELATT, Hackney Playbus, Shoreditch Trust, The Passage, Xenia, The Conservation Volunteers, JAMI, Hoxton Trust, The Centre for Better Health and Crisis.


Over 70 people attended the VCH ‘Be the Difference’ volunteer fair on Tuesday 23rd January at the Hackney Museum. They got to meet Hackney organisations including Rainbow Grow, Abney Park, Alzheimer’s UK, Beecholme Community Garden, ELATT, Hackney Playbus, Shoreditch Trust, The Passage, Xenia, The Conservation Volunteers, JAMI, Hoxton Trust, The Centre for Better Health and Crisis.

Making teabags, tasting jam and preserves and discovering more about the hundreds of volunteer roles on offer in Hackney. We also welcomed London Live who spoke to Lauren Tobias, CEO of Volunteer Centre Hackney, and Rainbow Grow.

If you couldn’t make it this time, don’t panic! You can register and search for volunteer roles 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and VCH is open for appointments Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Don’t forget to put the date for the next Volunteer fair in your diary – 26th April 2018. Further details to be announced.
