Last week saw VCH welcome keen Hackney residents to our first Get Involved in Your Community session of 2018. Here’s what some of them had to say about their experience:

‘Informative… a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.’

‘The session itself was exhilarating and meeting new people from different backgrounds was useful. The individual tasks opened up a new way of thinking – I feel more confident.’

Get Involved in Your Community is a FREE 2-hour session that aims to help you explore your interests and skills, and help you think about what things to consider before you start volunteering. In the session we cover…

Why volunteer?
What kinds of volunteering can I do?
How do I start to search for a volunteer role?
How do I know it’s the right role for me?
How do I make the most of volunteering?

Join us for the next Get Involved in Your Community session taking place on 27 April. Informal and interactive, it’s a great way to ask all your questions about volunteering as well as meeting other local residents.
